Anger management class assists teens to identify symptoms of on-coming anger. The course is taught in such a way that students can feel good about themselves as they learn about new ways to meet life’s challenges.
Participants learn:
- To be aware of the physiological changes, thoughts and feelings that immediately precede loss of control and episodes of rage
- To identify issues that accompany anger and explores ways to use anger productively without harming themselves or others
- How to take time to think before they act and how to grow calm
- The responsibility of each individual teen to learn to control the responses of his or her own emotions
- When people lose control of anger, no one "made" them do it
This class meets the San Bernardino and Riverside County Department requirements for juvenile offenders who must attend an Anger Management Class. Anger management classes meet two hours a week for six weeks.
